Dr. Rubolino believes that healing comes from a client's willingness to deeply experience, explore, and feel one’s emotions that are related to both present and past circumstances. Unexamined feelings can often lead to unwanted or painful symptoms. The process of understanding one’s feelings and emotions allows one to more fully understand his or her experience. Therapy is an opportunity to discover our authentic selves more fully, strengthen and deepen our intimate relationships, and realize our dreams for the future.
Dr. Rubolino believes that good therapy can be transformational. Research shows that a strong, trusting bond between the client and therapist is an essential collaborative process. The therapeutic relationship which is strong, trusting, and safe for the client is often the most powerful catalyst for the natural process of healing, growth, and change to occur. Feeling with and genuinely understood by another person, is in itself a healing experience.
